Hi All,

Not sure where else to turn to, as this might not be related to this forum, but I'm hoping someone could help or lead me to a direction....

Anyway, I have the Poweradd Pilot Pro 32000mAh Battery Power Bank. It's used to recharge electronics like phones, laptops, etc.

It has a DC out that can supply 9, 12, 16, 19 & 20 volts at 4.5amps.

So I'm using it to power turn signals, brake and headlight on my dirtbike.

The problem is, when I hook it up, my driving light (incandescent 10w) and LED stop light works. The minute I turn on the headlight (incandescent 35 bulb) it trips the Poweradd and shuts off.

I measured the amp draw with the headlight & tail light and it's pulling about 2.9 amps.

When I add the turn signals it goes as high as 3.5 amp and jumps around when the signals flash.

I "assume" the reason why the poweradd shuts off is because off the voltage spike.

I thought about changing all the lights to LED's but I'm not sure if this will clear the problem.

Can I add a capacitor into the mix to cushion the spikes?

Also, I'm using the poweradd because of it's 32000mAh capacity.

I've tried led acid batteries but I trying to reduce my weight and battery so I'd like to use the poweradd if possible.

Can someone help me with this?

dinky,
