I have a CW XP-G Haiku modded to an XP-L V6 3D bin LED. Swap was simple. The beam is like an incandescent bulb. Looks old school. Really nice. And it's bright on HIGH.

Originally spots an XP-G CW.

Reflow on my iron. Clean & odourless.

Very warm incan like beam.

I may swap it to a Nichia preferably a 219A. I'll leave it as is for now to see how it's like outdoor.

Enjoy.

I have been thinking about doing this with a AA Haiku using datiLED's light engine, what's the beam focus like? It's really hard to tell in your beam shot

Thanks blackbalsam.

KuanR, nice spill with smooth small hot spot. No doughnut hole. Replace the color of beam below with the one in OP.

Thanks for the picture, LJ! I'm pretty sure this is the path I'll go when I get the Haiku :)
