Default LED Light temperature for video

    Hi,
Does anyone know how LED lights regulate visual temperature?
I am considering buying a small light for video. Many of the lights say they can adjust the temperature from cool to warm color.
Is this done within each LED bulb or mixing multiple LEDs of different temperatures?

    Thanks,
    Mardis

    depends on the light.

some have tungsten coloured leds mixed with daylight coloured leds - turning the colour knob adjusts the relative brightness between the groups - from tungsten only to daylight only.

others just have clip on "CTO" filters (my Metz video light has one, it mounts magnetically) (CTO stands for colour temperature orange - and changes daylight to tungsten)
