This flashlight was never bright enough to suit me so I bought an 18 watt lightbar (2 for 22 on ebay) and fixed it.

Thanks for this! I love makita tools but their flashlights leave much to be desired. I have been trying to figure out what to do with this lackluster flashlight. You solved the problem for me. Any comparisons to give some hints as to the brightness?

Do you really think 18 watt lightbar will provide more brightness? I will try using Makita flashlight. Currently I am using Tisva's Chandelier Lights for my home which are proving enough light in my home

Much Brighter than the original. Here is my hack. I added a USB charger just for grins. It was bugging me that I had all of this energy in these battery packs and no way to produce lots of photons with them. One step closer now...
