Can anyone point me toward an internet source for better understanding the circuits used in LED flashlights?

In particular, I see people writing about a voltage doubling circuit in the Inifinity. I'm curious as to how that is accomplished in a DC circuit.

My education was in mechanical engineering so I'm only familiar with the basics of electronics.

Thanks - RonM

For some reason the URL's were stripped from
my reply. If they don't show up below, send me an e-mail.

There are a bunch of links at the bottom of a page I'm working on: http://octopus.freeyellow.com/led.html

Two kinds of circuits that will boast DC voltages are:
Inverters - example at http://www.netcentral.co.uk/satcure/design/microtor.htm

Charge Pumps - LM3909 example at http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Bill_Bowden/page10.htm#15flash.gif
