Old french army flashlight

Hi there !

This afternoon i found this old angled lamp. Apparently it was used by the french army ( derived from the US TL 122 flashlight ).
My project is to transform this incandescent flashlight ( wich, although remarquably good looking doesn't shines by its light output ) into a LED flashlight !

Thing is i don't really know if a LED bulb can be fitted into this old lady. Can someone with modding experience give me some advices on how to do that ?

Should be easily modded. I do believe there's another thread very familiar to this design modded from incan to LED. Turned out very nice. If I come upon it again, I'll post link.

You should be able to find a standard pr2 drop in.

Those will work but I've yet to find one worth the $.
Personally, I'd rather take the time & $ to upgrade properly. Performance is much better than most of the drop-ins available.

Functionality could be the same as stock, just up the performance.

Thanks FRITZHID, i looked at the topic you mentionned and it's very instructive ! Thing is, this is my first mod ever, i don't understand everything that takes place during the mod. I hesitate between the full mod (never too late to learn) or the drop in

Went thru the Anglehead modification topic. Seems doable. I think i have an occupation for the following week
