500 Lumens E series LED Drop-In

Can anyone offer some guidance in my search for a 500 lumens LED drop-in to fit a Surefie E series head? I am trying to build my own 2 CR-123A Scout Light rather than pay the price of a Surefire Scout 600 Ultra. I checked the threads here but only saw a reference to the 370 lumens drop-in from Lumens Factory. I am new to the forum, so please bear with me. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I know of cheap china/hongkong ones,... but I bought one 5 years ago for a "drawer light" and it is still working fine. Its 500 lumens. 16 bucks
too.
I normally buy custom lights but for this clunker light those drop inns are perfect, so bright, so cheap. They can take rechargeable RCR123's too.

If you scroll down youll find 500,800 lumen ones.

500 lumens may be tough, and even if you could do it, there isn't much thermal mass to an e series head so heat may be a problem. Tana is the only person that I know of who is still selling e series drop ins.

Tana's singLED can get you to 380 out the front lumens with an XPL.

If you are willing to have your head modified you could get (3) emitters installed. Tana calls it the tripLED. You get make it to 900 if you like.

You could also get an e to c adapter and then the world opens up to all the P60 drop ins.

Have you looked at the MDC head by Malkoff Devices? His M61-series P60 drop-ins can be used on a n E-series light with the VME head.

Edit: Not quite 500 lumens though. Close.

One of the complete Malkoff MDC lights exceeds 500 lumens using an XPL, but I didn't see that head sold separately.
