Title says it all - what is your favorite form factor(s) for cells in a light? Multiple choices possible.

Hi Amelia,

1X18650 - 1XAA

Thanks,
-Chuck

I voted the same, but I like multiple 18650 lights in the "coke can" format too. The only ones I really dislike are CR123 lights - I just think AA does almost everything better and slimmer too! :)

Just ordered a Acebeam K40M last night, and could add multiple 18650 to my picks too, but I doubt it.

As much as I may love the results, it's still big and bulky, so not my favorite form factor.

If need be, AAs can be sourced anywhere, and 1X18650 packs some serious Punch, and or runtime into a convenient size. - 2XAA was ok back in the day, but now a days, give me a 18650!

Thanks,
-Chuck

By my choices in lights I'm like most, all over the place.
AA leads by majority, RCR123 close second an my preferred 18650 is third an AAA last.

I'm loving the capacity an power of 18650s, so that's my preferred but not most used.

Have a great day.

First: 1 x 26650 (MMU-X3, 3 x XM-L2) Infectiously lovable form factor, more lumens than any 1 x 18650 single XM-L2. OK-ish hip-totableness.

Second: 3 x 18650 (SX25L3, 1 x MT-G2) Much more lumens than anything slightly smaller, and almost as much lumens as items that are much larger. At the upper limit of limit of hip-totableness.

Third: 4 x 18650 (MM15, Meteor M43, etc.) Standard form factor (cells) for flood/lumen monsters. Not so hip-totable, but this form factor (cells) is what the doctor ordered for power lights.

I have to agree about the 1x26650 format. But I actually prefer the Fenix PD40 to the MMU-X3. Same peak brightness with better maintained brightness and more modes. Also, better tint and beam pattern. Regardless, too bad there aren't more 1x26650 options out there. 1x26650 is such a GREAT combination of size, ergonomics, brightness, and runtime.

On my keys in general for work AAA ,general use has to be single 18650 for me,just a great ballance of performance ,run times and size/weight ratio. But I also picked multiple 18650 ,just love these types for outdoor uses/fun with the performance and in some cases compact too ,even though 4 x 18650 cells.

1xAA (because of the compact convenience), and multiple 18650 (love brightness & extended runtime; long tubes don't bother me).

1x 26650. In addition to the points mentioned, there are some nice IMR options available. For Vinh lights, of course. :D
