I have a Lambda VaraPower Turbo 2 that's going on 4 years old or so, wondering if the Fenix TK75 would be a worthy upgrade? I'm having a hard time remembering the output of the VPT2 but I think it was around 2500 lumens or so.

Since no one ever replies to this thread when I make it, can someone move it to a forum where someone will chime in? Maybe LED isn't the right forum.

I'm also looking at the RC40 now.

nobody is replying because no one knows what a Lambda is most likely. If 2500 lumen range general use LED is what you are looking for TK75 is a benchmark. Cant go wrong.

I have a few of those, with the rotary side switch on one for example...sweet lights.

If looking to upgrade, consider if you want more throw, or, more flood, etc.

Do you want the new light to throw farther?

Yep, that's the one.

Honestly, it throws plenty far and the beam is the perfect balance of flood and throw for what I want. I'm just a little bored and want something even brighter, and the whole ~20 minutes of full brightness it has gets a little annoying from time to time. I love the light and having 30+ settings, I just want something brighter that lasts longer with its max brightness.

I was looking at the VN54 TK75, what are the final numbers on it in terms of lumens/cd/lux?

The TK75vn KT is one of my favorite lights. Here is the regular V54 version specs :Fenix Tk75vn 5000k XML2 dome on
Samsung 20r (retested with vtc5, no increase)
3745@ turn on
3765@ 30sec
2441 high
958 mid
75 low

And here are the Killer Throw specs :
Fenix Tk75vn 5000k XML2 dome on
Samsung 20r (retested with vtc5, no increase)
3745@ turn on
3765@ 30sec
2441 high
958 mid
75 low

As you can see it has 3700 lumens and 341kcd, it is a best of both worlds light. You can get lights wth more throw and lights with more flood but this is a great all around light. The next step up would be the new X60vn. It's got 6500 lumen and 600+ kcd so it's a monster. It is very large and heavy but that is the price for getting the best of both worlds.
