Kind of a newbie, so forgive me if something like this has been posted.

We all know how the story goes, saw the Arc "Get Your Foot in the Door" offer and managed to get in on that. Found out about the Arc seconds and got in on some of those. Found out about twistys versus clickys and had to get in on some of the unanodized twistys. (seeing a pattern, yet /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif)

Well, I didn't quite like the look of the unanodized twisty, and I just happened to have some Brownell's Alumahyde II in Dark Parkerizing Gray lying around after a recent rifle refinishing project and thought, what the hey:

It's not an exact match, but pretty darn close. Alumahyde is some pretty tough stuff (it's an epoxy based paint) and seems to be surviving EDC in my pocket pretty well. I figure worse comes to worse, I'll just shoot it with some more paint if it scratches. It's not HA, but hopefully a viable alternative until J.S. Burly's gets his anodized ones done.
