Custom XML2 Clone Surefire KX1A Head w/ 17670 body and cell

Clone head has a Ledil Boom MC-S compact flood reflector and uses a XM-L2 S6 7D3 2900k6 on a copper Noctigon MCPCB with a 3.8Amp custom programed Qlite 4 group (including a variable ramping mode) driver.

The 17670 body is a from Valiant Concepts and offers momentary function.

There is a small ano ding on the bezel of the light by the K.

An AW 17670 is included, though has been used. The button on the top is slightly indented but functions great and still holds its charge well.

US Shipping only.

List Date: 7/26/2015

I made it. :) Such a beautiful piece if I do say so my self. Also has a wonderful 4 mode UI with a ramping mode. Man I'd love to have this back. Its bright, and has a BEAUTIFUL warm tint!

Ahh, I'm resisting so hard right now..

I have two of those heads. They are super nice for the money! Great platforms. They unscrew easily and the aluminum feels pretty good quality for those haven't seen these. Also, I like this mod. I may have to give it a go.

GLWS!

so when you say the body offers momentary function, does it still have an on/off style clicky?

Sorry about that, but yes you are correct. It's like a McClicky, half press for momentary, full press to click on for constant on.

Ramping is fairly simple. Just let it ramp until the desired brightness, then shut it off to lock it in. Once it comes back on, it will be in the stored setting. You have to power cycle it within 1 sec to start ramping again.

Glad to see someone else enjoying this as well! :) :) :)

Here's a video from vestureofblood as well that shows how the full UI works with this driver:

Not to revive a dead thread, but...it's still going awesome! Im trying to see what cheap body options there are to make this feel a bit more robust and water resistant, preferably something I dont mind dropping, lol
