I have a 1x123 DYI running a mm+ wo R2H and and a 2xCR2 DYI with BB700 and W3V. I have an unbuilt 3x123 kit, still trying to decide what to do with it.

Martin - took them out of the armored case for a picture, did you? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gifBeretta wins. Two of the rarest right there, certainly. OK, next question, please!

Here are what have become of my two. Yes that's right, I only have exactly TWO now. These are shown with just my latest heads. Nothing TK about these at all. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Here are my two McLuxes...

mclux1.jpg

The one on top is a Black Widow McLux, with a black 1xCR123A barrel and an orangish-red 1.2W Luxeon Star.
As far as I'm aware, there are only two of these beauties on the planet. Kiessling has one and I have the other.

The one on the bottom is a two-tone, part chrome part bead-blasted finish; it uses a white 1.2 watt Luxeon Star.

Both are equipped with the McFlood reflector, and as you might expect, both have a wider than usual beam angle.
And both are TK units, so I didn't have to {vulgar term for intercourse} with them beforehand.

My web page about them is right here if anyone's interested.

Gotta love those black McLuxs. They're so sexy and wish I had one.

Sorry off topic but for those that did, how do you guys fit the PR (non-T) heads on 1x123 bodies? Did the earlier runs have shorter clips?

thx

Heh, heh, yes I did, Darell

Normally, they would be hermetically sealed in their snug little cases. I do use them, however.

Bzzzzt! Nope. The black one might have been "prebuilt" for you, but it isn't an official TK unit. All TK's were EN only. The blacks were piece-build only. So... *somebody* had vuglar term with it. And I'm pretty sure that was Don. He really got into these, ya know? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

All clips were the same size. In fact the TK clips were copied exactly (or as close as possible) from the original clips. The PR just barely touches the end of the clip. It still works, but not as intended, certainly.
