Smartphone Blacklight, can this be done on a flashlight?

Hi there, I saw this video on youtube and was quite astounded, not having any science or engineering background, I came to CPF to ask, could this be done with one of the LED flashlights, of course, the simplest solution would be to try, but that means I have to go buy Sharpies (it's 1.47 a.m. here so Sharpies are out).

No. All that is, is a cheap way to make a dim, purple light.
There isn't enough (if any) actual if UV light coming from the LED it self to be converted into a blacklight....by any means of filter, or otherwise.

this just filters it to a purple wave i would have like to see a spectrograph of the light that comes out of it with the 2 blue and purple filters

I dunno, maybe the LED on the iPhone is really crappy and actually does emit some UV light that could be filtered...but near UV light can still cause things to glow a bit. Even a nice blue LED can do that.
