Armytek's new Partner A2 V2 just became available here in Canada through a B.C. retailer and it looks great. $65. I think I might just have to buy it.

2xAA. Momentary rear clicky. Nice mode choice switching on the head. Easy to lock on max for a quick grab and go 500 lumen burst. The moon mode is a bit high at 1.7 lumens but you still get 300 hours out of it. And the light seems to be built tough as a Rayovac Indestructable!

So far, this might be the best workhorse, quasi-tactical, Zombie Apocalypse 2xAA light I've seen. :)

What's the voltage range of the current 2AA Partner? I understand that there would be overheating issues with leaving it on high, but does the head say it will take 4.2v?

this one looks great! IP68 rated and that ultra thick and tough AT anodization. Im not much for TIR optics but besides that this one looks really good!
