I have a Lightwave 4000 that has given excellent service for many years but the housing has cracked where the threads are and it will not light unless pressure is applied. I've been able to repair it using gaffers tape but expect eventually to need a replacement.
I like the long run-time and useful light output of the Lightwave but was hoping for something brighter without losing too much lifespan. Size is not important to me, in fact bigger is better as I tend to misplace things. And I'd rather have a light that uses regular (rather than rechargeable) batteries.
Any suggestions?
