But to have a cord thats stiff, almost coathanger like, is absurd. Cords to be wrapped around from your head to your waist should be very loose and flexible and soft and pliable. Why they have this ridiculously stiff cord thats just going to get in the way I do not now.
All in all, I found the extra battery mounted on the belt did not overcome the benefits of having one battery mounted on the headband. The run time compared to others was not that much longer, 30 minutes, and it's always more cumbersome to have wires and belt mounted batteries.
As a contractor that uses headlamps almost exclusively as I crawl under houses, I can tell you that wire and battery pack as you're turning in twisting and rolling is just going to be a nuisance. Headmounted is the way to go, but I took a chance and I'm sending it back.
