/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gifHow does one get nichia leds in low quantities? Like 10 or 20.

I'm sick of the crappy urine and artifact infested cheapos I find so often on the net. Any tips would be appreciated.

Note: I am not looking for recommendations of other led manufacturers, I just want to find a source for high-binned Nichias without buying in huge quantities.

10 pieces is ~$8 USD though.
20 pieces is ~$12 USD.

Nope, not really high bin, it's 8K mcd @ 20 degrees. Some of them on mine had some blue and brown rings, other's are rather evenly blue.

Even the Nichia's are going to have some blueness and rings, as evidenced by the Arc AAA LE's. Peter uses the higher binned Nichia's, but even his FAQ section references the fact that since "white" LED's are actually a blue LED with phospher coating, some blueness & rings are to be expected.
