Hi All,
I am reluctantly putting my fully customised one of a kind Thrunite TN30 up for sale.

I don't really want to sell this light and I'm only selling it to justify spending money to upgrade some components in my PC. I have a considerable amount of time and money invested into this light and that combined with the fact it is a one of a kind light, all mods have been carried out to a very high standard and the final finish of the light is immaculate means I am selling it for what I believe it is worth when compared to other modified lights which people are selling out there. If it doesn't sell, so be it I will be happy to keep it, but it truly is a great light.

Anyway, onto the light!

Details are as follows:
- Thrunite TN30 XM-L2 (base light)
- 12x Nichia 219BT-V1 90CRI min. emitters from IOS
- 3oz copper DTP Noctigon pulled out of an M43 Meteor
- BLF17DD FET driver with Guppydrv Rev.1 firmware from MTN electronics. It is the original double sided FET driver which handles high power builds better. The driver has been mounted to the original driver board which has been stripped to use as a contact board
- 4x Carclo 10507 Optics
- Custom machined 417g pure copper heatsink
- Copper heatsink is a slip fit into the head and has Arctic Silver 5 between the MCPCB and heatsink and the heatsink and original emitter shelf
- UCLp lens from flashlightlens.com
- Modified switch (forward clicky), bypassing all original tailcap components with 18AWG silicone wire connections
- Battery carrier traces have all been doubled up with a run of Chemtools copper braid
- All springs have been resistance modified with Chemtools copper braid
- New red silicone oring between the lens and bezel
- Double run of 22AWG silicone wire to ground ring of driver
- 18AWG silicone wire direct from ground to FET leg
- 18AWG silicone wire from FET to emitters
- 22AWG silicone wire from positive battery spring to power the driver
- 18AWG silicone wire direct from positive spring to emitters
- Green GITD tailcap boot. I am happy to include black and light blue GITD boots if requested, or I can swap it out with whatever colour is preferred
- All threads and orings have been lubricated with Armytek Nyogel
- Comes with all original accessories including the original box, holster, spare orings, lanyard, manual etc.

Price Aus Residents - $425AUD - Including 3x Samsung 30Q cells and tracked shipping within Australia. (Insurance/sign on delivery is not included, can be added for extra cost)
Price for International - $295USD - Plus actual shipping costs (message me for a quote) - No batteries included. Package weight is just over 1kg. I will convert the USD price into AUD at time of sale as I want to be paid in AUD.

I would prefer bank deposit for Aus residents to avoid fees, but I'll understand if you prefer to go through PayPal, please PM me before making payment to let me know what you will be doing. Additionally if you are in Perth, Western Australia you are welcome to pick it up and I will knock a little off to account for not shipping it.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

First "I will take it" gets the light. However, I have got this light advertised on BLF as well, so it will be whoever posts earliest.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the comments guys, I have re-done the pricing information so it's hopefully a bit clearer now. (Thanks for the tip ChibiM)

I have also added some comparison beamshots to a stock Thrunite TN36 NW.

Great light. Any idea of leumns. Looks brighter than the thrunite. How long can you run on max for heat and battery life. Whats the ui like now as the control ring is out of action.

Thanks. Not too sure of the lumens as I don't have a meter. However it is almost the same as my M43 Meteor XP-G2 S3 3D. So I would take a guess at close to 7000lm OTF and 30kcd as that is what the M43 is measured at. Think of its output as the M43 XP-G2 version with the tint and CRI of a Nichia 219B

I haven't tested runtime as I have had no real need to because there isn't many occasions where I would need to have a constant 7000lm of light. But the amount of copper in there means it draws the heat away very quickly and has a lot of mass to absorb the heat. Additionally it does a very good job of transferring that heat out into the body of the light. Whilst it does get warm I would say that heat wouldn't be the limiting factor but more so battery life as being a FET driver, the output drops as the battery drops which is different to a regulated driver.

The mode changing is done the same way as any other forward clicky light. It has Guppydrv Rev.1 firmware which means it has 24 programmable modes which you set just by a combination of switch clicks. It also has a user set turbo timer as well if you want to set one. I currently have it set on group 18. ML - 1% - 5% - 15% - 40% - 100%

From the MTN electronics site:

Rev.1 User Selectable Groups:

  1. 1% - 25% - 100% | Memory
  2. 1% - 25% - 100% | No Memory

Guppydrv Instructions
To switch mode groups: rapidly tap the switch 8 times, the light will then enter the programming mode and begin to flash. With the light in programming mode, tap the switch the same number of times as your desired mode group. The light will blink and your mode group will be memorized.

Example: To select mode group 3, tap the switch 8 times quickly to enter programming mode. As soon as the light enters programming mode and beings flashing, tap the switch three times. The light will blink to recognize the mode group change.

To set the turbo timer: rapidly tap the switch 8 times, the light will then enter the programming mode and begin to flash. With the light in programming mode, tap the switch 30 times to enter the turbo timer set mode. The light will then switch to 100% power. When the light is at the desired temperature for the turbo step down, turn the light off. The turbo timer will then be set. The turbo timer steps the light down to 50% regardless of the mode group set.

To lock the mode groups: Solder Star 2 to ground. The other stars have no function with this firmware.
