I recently purchased a Surefire 6Z body on B/S/T. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I added a bezel, LA, batteries and tailcap and . . .
THERE WAS NO LIGHT! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
It turns out that there was oxidation on the edge of the
body where the tailcap makes electrical contact with the body.
No contact = no electrical path = no light!
A few minutes with some 600 grit wet and dry sandpaper
and flat piece of glass and all was shiny and new (and bright)./ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinser2.gif
Don't let this happen to you!
Take care of your flashlights and they will take care of you!
Anyone else have any helpful tips?
