First CPF post outside the bike light forum I'm afraid. I'm seeking some guidance about possibilities for a flashlight/torch host for a project that's keeping me awake at night.
I have a really great little Easy2lite N450 flashlight (or 'torch' as we say in Australia). I think it has a Cree XM-L in a warm tint, along with a 35mm orange-peel reflector.
It's a great little light that's only 130mm (a bit over 5") long. Almost perfect for my purposes - except I'd like to try building something in the same general pattern but with a triple LED board and a Carclo Cute smooth spot optic.
I'm very(!) reluctant to mess about with my Easy2lite so I appeal to the hive-mind for guidance! Is there a really short, 35mm, 18650 host out there (either empty or cheap enough to tear down) that I might be able to use? Has someone already posted a thread about a similar project?
