Has anyone ever herd of a weapon light that runs on 2 rechargeable cells and puts out a said 2500lm.. I got into a little internet debate about a guy claiming he has a light that does this and is the size of a surefire weapon light.. Any input?

Oveready's Moddoolar Pocket light is weapon rated, puts out in excess of 3000 lumens in XP-L form, and is a little smaller than a 6P.

Since you didn't mention what cells, yes it is possible to get 2500 or more lumens on a weapons light.

The original Surefire Hellfighter lights can run on two BB2590 batteries while putting out 3000 lumens of light.

My Hellfighter 4 has a small internal battery which allows for 3000 lumens of light. The Hellfighter 4 throws another 200 yards further than the original Hellfighter.

The Moddoolar Pocket uses standard 18mm cells, with an assortment of different body lengths. The setup that's a little smaller than a 6P uses two 18350s. Naturally, run time is quite short, but it meets the output requirement.

We have built a single v5 x300 for testing, configured to about 2500 off 2x16340. Could be the same guy.

Vinh has modded a Surefire X300 with his DriverVn, an XHP50 led, and running on two 16340 IMR cells. Light should easily be at or over 2500 lumens. I'm not sure what he is considering Surefire weapon light size but I have a Solarforce L2 with a XHP50 P60 drop in running on two IMR 18350 batteries and pushing almost 2000 lumens. With a little higher current to the led 2500 lumens would be easy to get.
