Low Priced Mortgages Available Again

I just locked in a 30 year fixed mortgage for 5 1/8% today.

My first mortgage in 1967 was 6.6%.

I suggest that anyone who is in the market, go to bankrate.com and start shopping. It's a buyer's market for mortgages but all indications are that the bottom has been hit.

I lucked out and got a 15yr-4.5% last year, whewwww timing is everything.... Unless the feds see a weakening economy, I don't see rates going down much again for a while.
