Has anyone out there modified the stock Zebralight SC5 XML Cool White Smooth reflector model for increased throw? If so, what mods did you do?

Thanks in advance.

I can't see how it could be done beyond changing out the LED to something smaller but having around the same specs. Personally I think leaving good enough alone might be best in this case. That said I am no expert on modding lights or much of anything else for that matter.

You could dedome the LED that's in there. That would give quite a bit more throw, but lower overall output. Not something I'd want done to mine, but it's possible.

IMO, if you want a thrower, just buy a light with a bigger reflector. Zebralights aren't meant to be throwers.
