Any info on this light? Specifically how does it compare in terms of flood/throw to 2900 75. Lotsa lumens...is it a ton more floody than tk-75 2900? Candella implications?

BTW: Own 2900 and wondering if 4000 model is worth it. Are 4 led's as focused as 3 in 2900 model?

Yes all there in kj75's excellent review, IMHO it's not worth the upgrade in standard form. However check the tk75vnQ out , this is a proper upgrade!

If the TK75 can be modified to produce more flood then I am very interested, very-very interested how do I get the details?

My link has versions that suit you for flood, i have a tk75vnq70 which is 4 x xhp70 leds, and around 14,000 lumens of awesomeness ..........Around 200kcd ish, but pretty much a wall of light. Has vinhs driver so you have 20 mode groups to choose from,be it with memory or not etc etc. Quick 8 presses of the power button, then when light is blinking, press between 1 and 20 times to select that group...........very flexible.

Are they calling it the 2016 version? I thought they came out with this mid 2015? I didn't have the 2900/3 LED model, so i got the 4000 model on a return discount. I it, but don't use it as much as i should. If it didn't have the tripod mount or strap (like the 2900 model), i'd use it less though. From reading the review back when i bought it, I am not crazy about the non-lockable dysfunctional aspect of the 2900 model.

Who knows what 2016 will bring

other than the new tk61!

The link provides me only driver/programming info, don't see anything on making the light more floody or other changes like this.
