The original SureFire. Model 1C (for 1 candle power)
Respecatble run time.
Flicker was an issue. Talk about your PWM
Lots of spill...literally. Wax everywhere.
Up to 1.5 candela depending on wind and wick
IPXNONE
Balanced weight forward

But will the gun mounted light catch on is the question?

Thought this would get more steam. Would love if someone could throw up the pics.

All I got to say is...whoever used that thing in a lawful manner to protect oneself or ( at the time ) ones property, has some very serious cahunas.

Great post.

Just goes to show you that the technology isn't that different from today. :)

In other words:

Pistol: ballistic weapon throwing a metal slug using a fast reacting chemical source of energy, ignited by a spark.

"Flashlight:" Vented metal case containing a light source using a replaceable, slow reacting chemical source of energy, directed by a lens.

Like I said, not much different from today. :)

It would certainly make a better target than a weapon. How do you accurately aim it at someone who's more than a few feet away? And by a few feet, I mean just beyond arms length.

Hot trigger finger was the 1st thing to cross my mind........

Guess it depends on the user being able to handle the heat;)

I thought it was going to be fire-on-a-stick?
It is the weapon light & the weapon.
