Just got a Nitecore P12 and I love it but am wondering what the smallest most powerful light actually is? Am looking for something the width of the P12 but shorter?

I do know Olight makes some which are about 3.5" but those are also about 2.6" wide which I don't care for!

Thanks

+1, its got to be well up there as the smallest and most powerful............more importantly actually usable power too without ridiculous heat in a couple of seconds........

May be too small though ..........as 10440 fed which is AAA size but of course 4.2v

Nitecore EC11

I opted for the MT10C myself, though it's very similar to the EC11. I just got it yesterday and found it to have a near perfect size and it's just as bright as my P12 - and the UI is much better than the P12.

Thanks to all, the ToolVN I like best but very $$ and from what I see is made by 1 person and wonder how long will be in business? The one I decided on is the Nitecore EC11 but I do wonder if it takes normal CR 123A batt (says CR123 so I guess its different from a CR123A) ?

Also if I get the EC11 can I use my batt charger for my 18650 to charge the EC11 18350 batteries?

Thanks

CR123 is same thing.
most 18650 chargers will work just fine. Assuming the cell fits length wise. What charger you have?

Thanks just wanted to be sure! I have the Nitecore UM10 and the Intelli Charger I2, however after "Shining" if I put my 18650 in the UM10 it shows the batt% like say 68% then switches to EE which means (bad batt) but in the other which only has 3 lights it will charge at once.

If I wait about 30 min and let batt cool then the UM10 will read % and charge, which is weird?

MT10A on a single 14500 IMR cell puts out 1000 lumens... Remember throw and spill can make other lights more effective for your use.

Strange, I have both of those chargers. Never experienced that. What kind of battery are you using? Make, model, age and so on. Have you tried other batteries?

All I have is 2 Nitecore 18650 batteries 2300mah and are new came in bundle with light for Christmas.

On the 18350 for the EC11 light I cant find any Nitecore batt higher than 750mah, but other brands come much higher?

A Convoy S2+ 18350 with triple XP-L is probably brightest for its size. Should put out close to 3000 lumens.

The Olight S1 is about as small as you can get. . . Yet it can put out 500 lumens and has good run times.

Good suggestion sticking with 18650 will give it higher output on direct drive due to higher A 18650's compared to more limited 18350's. The 18650 body is still a compact light imo, quite short and not that wide.........The 18350 is a real compact monster!

18350 size

It must be fun to casually hand one of those S2+ shorties to a non-flashaholic, and say, "Check this out..."

BAM!!!!

Of course, you have to make sure your friend is not staring into the business end when the light show begins.
