What's up with Adobe Flash Player??

Like everyone, I'v done countless Flash updates over the years,
but now I can't update in any way shape or form

Do I even want to???:scowl:

I hear even Adobe doesn't want people to continue using Flash, but switch over to HTML 5 instead.

In my opinion, it's critical to run either the latest version, or none at all. Any time I've had an installation issue, it's been solved by shutting down all your programs, going to Control Panel -> Programs -> Uninstall a program. Uninstall Flash, reboot, and the installation of the new version should work.

The last time I downloaded and ran installers for reader and flash, I kept getting installation initiation errors. Had to locate alternate installation files on Adobe's site and install those. Weird.

Adobe is renaming Flash to Adobe Animate CC. I think this is only going to confound the transition from Flash to HTML5.

They are not renaming Flash Player, they are renaming the product they sell which is used to create Flash animation along with HTML5 and others.
