Galaxies, angels, places beyond imagination

Years ago (well, the 1980's), when I was put to bed I used to use my bedside torch to create all sorts of things on the ceiling by lifting the lens clear of the bulb and canting and holding it at an angle to allow the bulb to shine and distort through the glass bobble. With the imaginings of childhood it left some nice images in my mind. Well today I thought I would try it again, this time see if I could capture with a digital camera. I was pleased to see I could - and the images the torch created were just as I remember. The images one can create are almost limitless as a different bulb or torch gives different results. Here are some from just now to share with you. I suppose you can see anything you like in the shapes of light - or nothing - depends on the viewer.

So, anyone ever done similar? LED's really are not as much fun in this regard sadly...

That was fun. We all probably did something similar. Thanks

Glad you liked. These days children have other gizmos to mess about with when they are having trouble sleeping - and of course LED's with the fixed head can't do this so I can see it being forgotten.
