Remember all the bits and pieces you took out of the AA MiniMags that you modded with various pills and sandwiches? Well I found a use(?) for them.

1. Cut the fins off of the reflector.
2. Throw away the part of the switch that says "Do Not Remove".
3. Keep the tiny metal thingy in whats left of the switch.
4. Put the MiniMags bulb in the remains of the switch.
5. Insert the light assembly into the head of your CNC-123 and screw the battery tube on.
6. Put the de-finned reflector in the front and screw on the bezel.
7. Press the switch on the CNC-123 and volia!....

Short of the Gold plated AA MiniMag, you now have the most expensive and non-focusing CR123 MiniMag going! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah, I know, but the weather is ecky and the 'puter is tied up doing a runtime plot, and I was bored.

Doesn't work. The MM reflector doesn't reach down to the led!
There is about a 1/8 inch gap between the reflector and the led.

Roy you need help! And I'm just the man to help deprogram you. First send me all your lights. Step 2 Go out and by more lights. This should keep you so busy that you won't
abuse a poor cnc-123 by using mini M@G parts in it.

Hay Roy,

How's that de-finned Mag'flector with the HD Luxeon???

[/ QUOTE ] I can say that the Solitaire reflector is excellent with a HD. Ask Chief_Wiggum too /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The LED is perfect - gives a smooth beam without texturing, and has the advantage of smooth reflector (tighter focus)
