This object was left at a front desk in the Amazon warehouse and befuddled everyone who inspected it, quite a feat given that your average Amazon employee knows retail items like a Bedouin knows sand. I don't have Android so don't have access to Google Goggles, the other object search engine was confused. So now it's CPF's turn.

The object is a squat ~2.5"x1.5" cylinder of mostly a single piece of bright metal around the bottom and sides, topped with red-orange plastic featuring a simplified flower pattern. Its most striking feature is mass; it is remarkably heavy as if it were a solid slug of steel, or perhaps filled with lead. The plastic on top is solid, does not rotate or give to pressure, illumination with the iPhone light shows it is mostly opaque with no indication of anything underneath. The metal base/tub is at least a couple of mm thick as evidenced by the lip around the plastic, however the weight allows the possibility that it is solid metal with just a cut atop for the plastic. The object is not magnetic, but holds magnets strongly. The bottom is smoothly rounded and shows scoring probably from being kicked around the warehouse floor.

Any guesses?

It's a game piece. Kind of a shuffle board type game. I played this years ago. Don't remember much about it.

The game "board" was wood with sand type stuff to help the pieces slide. That explains some of the scoring.

Edit : just google "hand shuffleboard".
