Smallest 2 cell light without an exposed tailswitch?

Switched over to a Nitecore P12 for EDC several months ago. Great light, at a great price.

It's about half an inch longer than the frequently broken Klarus NT20 I'd been carrying, which is apparently just enough length to allow the new light to jump from my pants' pocket.


Ability to use a rechargable is desirable, but not necessary. Clicky is desirable, but not necessary. It MUST have an enclosed tailcap, so that it's not constantly turning on in my pocket. I don't care about any sort of strobe function. I need big lumens, but not necessarily a thousand of them.

I'd really like to find something under five inches that puts out at least 500 lumens and costs less than $100. So far, I'm stumped.

It's a single aa though, 575 lumens tested by selfbuilt. Getting under 5 inches will be difficult, i have a foursevens m2a that is right at 5 inches and it doesn't seem a 2 aa can get any shorter unless it's a mule or side by side batteries

Looks like single cells have come a long way since I last went light shopping. I think I can get away with one.

Np that's easy. Foursevens qp2l-x burst mode. they dont make them anymore but you can still find them or peice one together at their website. 16650 compatible too
