Arc4 pics All 16 brightness levels! Outdoor shots

Here is a composite of all 16 Arc4 brightness levels using an Arc LSH-S for reference. The Arc4 is on the right:




I have the same sequence blown up a bit bigger on my website plus a few more shots. More outdoor beamshots coming soon!

Here are some shed shots at ~45 feet. There is a lot of light pollution tonight with the snowy weather. I think my aim was a bit off with the Arc LSH-S. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif

At least in the picture, level five looks about the same as the standard LS, what about in real life? Great picture and site, thanks! Doug /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Sean nice pics. You have a nice tint on your Arc4+ heres mine:


McLux 917 PR-T on left Arc4+ on right. Picture taken from about 2 feet away on a white wall. The color of the Arc4+ beam appears greenish to me especially in the corona. The Arc4+ is on it's brightest setting. It gets greener as the power decreases. The soft white light of the McLux corona is actually cancelling out some of the green from the Arc. I am disappointed in the tint. I saw some nice beamshots by CM and the nice ones Sean has here.

By measurement I would say the closest is level 10.

5, maybe 4 for standard, 4 or 3 if you have a premium. In that range.

Hey fellas, when you do these beam shots, can we include distance, and something in the photo to indicate beam diameter at that distance?

I understand what you are asking, but the first set (of the 16 levels) was meant to show the difference in brightness as compared to the LSH-S that remained at the same distance and brightness as a type of control.

As far as with the shots at ~45' it just wouldn't be practical since at that distance the beams are beyond 10' in diameter.

The first set of shots were at 7'.

Anyone here with a SureFire E1e/KL4 aka "TW4" setup (unmodified emitter) who can please take comparative beam-shots of the Arc4+ on its brightest setting, plus comment on overall throw, etc.?

Allen, i believe the TW4's brightness would be even less (maybe a LOT less) than the L4 pic above.
