I saw a brief mention of this in the Ti sales thread by the maker of a similar light and wanted to share. What attracts me to this light is the 18500 battery and the price seems reasonable for what you get. I love triples and I think the 18500 battery is a great choice for a bit of extra capacity over an 18350. I like the aesthetics of the light, the proportions are just about spot on for me. The maker is going to sell various light engines, blank pills and possibly other body tubes on his site after the campaign. Here is the kickstarter url for the light https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/415083384/lumeray-triple-m The light is called the Lumeray and so far there are ~24 backers, some of which I'm sure came from CPF.

I can't figure out which custom I'm thinking of right now, but that faceted finish is already used by someone else. Is it the same guy?

I'll keep looking and update if I find it.

Update: Found it. Luter. Appears to be the same person.

Yup, Yuri (Luter) is the one using the faceted finish. :) Same guy who made the hidden bolt pen.

So basically we're paying $200 for a host? None of the components have anything special..

-Triple noctigon mcpcb with LEDs: $13
-Qlite driver with DrJones' guppydriv: $8
-Carclo triple optic: $2
-Batteries, switch and glass: about $20

you re paying 200 for the titanium host, covering its cost, and the maker's profit.

ppl in biz usually want to earn money. that's done by getting more money in than they had to cover, bom etc

It's about $290 US for the light as far as I can tell. Under $300 seems like a good price for a titanium triple, especially in a unique 18500 form factor. I just wish it had a McClicky.

And looking at the design of the light, it doesn't seem easy & would probably take a long time & loads of skills to machine that. So yeah, you are paying for his time and skills as well..

Yes, much cheaper than the $500-700 his lights normally sell for.

Does the host strike you as being just an average one?
