I bought some Niterider bike lights off of ebay and don't know much about the emitters and would like to know if it is possible to identify what LED is currently in the light and what a good upgrade would be.

This is from a Niterider MiNewt 500 that I can't find any info on whatsoever

This one came from a dual setup (also Niterider) but I do not know the model number

First one is a Cree MCE, could be about 3v, 6v or 12v setup basically 4 LEDs on one
Next is a Seoul Semiconductor P4
It looks like there are other colored LEDs on the edge of the pcb. Changing the MCE to anything would need a new pcb or you'd need to stack a much smaller one ontop
Reflector/optic compatability is also an issue
The second might be easier since its just a single emitter package and I spy an IMS-like reflector I'd get an XM-L2 on a 10mm sinkpad and put it right in place of the SSC P4
Probably will be brighter due to efficiency but will have an ugly beam with the stock reflector
