AMC7135 to drive an IR LED ?

Hi!
Can I use an AMC7135 Driver to drive an IR LED (850nm 1.7v 700ma )

I'm intending to use an 18650 Battery to power it .

how many AMC7135 Chips do I need in order to power it @ 700MA ?

Hi there!
Yes, you can use the 7135 if to drive the is led just like any other led too. You would need 2 ic's to drive the led at 700mA. To do this you put the 7135's in parallel (every pin from one to the same pin on the other) and follow the schematic in the datasheet. A 18650 (lipo/liion) battery has enough voltage to drive the ic's.
