18 LED\'s and Eveready 8 AA flashlight

Hi All,

A non board member ask me to post a question about the following, they just purchased an Eveready 8 AA "Double Barrel" from me.

They have seen a reference to "18 prime Nichia ultra bright led array for the 6-AA dbl barrels" from some place.

They want an array that would fit in the 8 AA DB, if they can get the module mentioned above they'd just need to hook in a resister correct?

Or, anyone willing to help this individual
build one?

I'll encourage them to register and post.

TIA,
DaveH

I haven't seen this array, but someone is selling a double-barrel conversion with 18 LEDs on ebay. I think this model uses 6 "AA" cells, not 8. No mention of what resistor (if any) was used either.

But I will find out.

I'm still waiting for my 18-LED double barrel conversion flashlight, but in the interim, I think I've found something that might even give the famous "Elwood Blaster" a run for its money.

It's called the Expedition 1900, and uses 19 super f#*&@!$~& bright white LEDs and three "C" cells.
Battery life is claimed at somewhere between 12 and 90 hours (why the wide range?) so I'll have to mess with this one to get an exact figure.

This guy even gives incandescent flashlights a run for their money.
