I just wanted to share this. I've been looking around for a cheap way to get or make a bezel tool to open my KT1 head for a few months now. Then the other day I glanced at my funky joule thief that has been sitting around and realized that it may be a perfect fit. The joule thief is housed in a PVC compression coupling setup but the end caps looked like it would fit. It would but a few of the nubs around the diameter needed to be trimmed down. I did just that and it's a perfect fit!! Removing the bezel ring was easy with just a bit of heat.
So if you're in need of a bezel tool, head over to the hardware store with your light and find a coupling cap that fits and you're good to go!
