Hey there guys,

A few weeks ago I have received a great flashlight from Eagle Eye, called the X5R. I definitely recommend this light to any flashaholic, who needs a rechargable, 18650 battery fueled tactical flashlight, with some great features.

I will share with you some key features, and also a very in-depth video review (where I share my personal experience)

Strong points:
- Slick, straight body design, feels really great in the hand
- XP-L Hi LED emitter, 1000 Lumens maximum output
- Offers 3 different color temperature: 5000-5500K, 5200-5600K, 6000-6500K
- Has inbuilt charger, we can use any standard micro-USB cable
- Can be used while charging through micro USB
- 4 modes: 10-180-450-1000 Lumens, 140-7.5-2.5-1 hour runtimes respectively
- The strobe mode is one of the most disorienting out of the dozens of flashlights that I have used (check the video)
- Tactical tailcap button, tailstand capability, momentary features
- Includes a glow-in-the-dark tailcap button
- The mode-switch button is nicely recessed, yet easy to find in the dark
- Stainless steel crenulated bezel to emphasize the tactical design
- As always, water and drop resistant

Weak points:

- No voltage indicator
- The pocket clip is stainless steel, uncoated. Yes, it's the shiny type.
- The mode spacing is not that great in lower levels, which has effect on the runtimes (we immediately jump up to 180 lumens for 7.5 hours if we want higher than 10 lumens)
- No firefly mode

This flashlight is basically a super cheap alternative to the Thrunite TC12, featuring the same LED emitter, same color temperature, recharging capability, and high quality anodizing. For roughly 1/3 of the price, it's a steal.
