This last Saturday some friends and I went to Flagstaff, AZ (2 hours north of my home base) for a hike in a Lava Tube. The hike is only a mile to the end, but we had much more fun than I was expecting. My parents used to do quite a bit of cave exploring when I was young, so I've always liked it.
I had my Nitecore HC50 headlamp, 18650 powered, plus my custom quad LED torch I made a while back. On to the photos!
Placque at entrance. It's an unmanaged cave on US Forestry land.
Most areas were high ceilings, only a couple places you had to crab-walk through.
Cool colors
A little niche in the cave wall
Full Blast!
