This second one has a larger capacity, higher voltage Lipo pack...
(Equals longer run time between charges) :D

Battery:

6S 12 Amp hour Lipo pack! :)

Battery voltage monitor color code:

Bright blue - Full charge
Cyan - Very good
Green - Good
Yellow/Amber - Low warning
Red - Batteries low

Voltage and current readings:

To the emitter - 33.2 Volts / 3 Amps

Battery current draw - 4.07 Amps

This will be about 3 hours run time between charges... :D

Total weight with battery and everything - 7 pounds, 8 ounces. (2 pounds lighter than my 100 Watt HID build)

Here's a brief video:

Hope you like it!

Here's some parts links:

LED
Larger reflector and lens
Boost driver for LED
Buck driver for fan
Heatsink and fan
Lipo pack
Wire management clips
18 gauge wire

Need a balance charger for the Li-Ion battery pack:
Here's mine

The aluminum frame is made from 3/4" X 1/16" angle - Home Depot

Handle is 3/4" X 3/4" aluminum square - Home Depot

Front stand is 3/4" X 1/8" aluminum flat - Home Depot

It's a fun project, quite a bit of work though. But nice payoff!

Looks great Jayrob. I just got my parts in from China to start playing with. I ordered 2-100 watt LEDS, 2-5a/30v drivers and one 110volt driver with heatsink/fan combo and lens. Just playing with the LED on the heatsink/fan and my bench power supply is amazing. I ran it @ 3.5 amps and 30 volts for about 2 minutes and the LED was 174 deg. F. Do you know at what temp is safe for the LED?

Thanks
Scott

WOW, that's really cool. Reminds me of a home built light I made when I was 12 years old. I used a similar sized metal box with a handle on top and mounted a fan in the back. Inside I installed an over head projector bulb that I stole from school. It was really bright, but had a cord so it was only good for messing around in the yard.

Keep posting picts of the projects, Dale P.
