I've dig around for a while and saw conflicting answers. Officially they recommend 18650. But it also says it takes 6.0V. I know old models doesn't take two cr123, because max voltage was 4.2 V. How about new models?

ZL specs say it can handle up to 6V, so should be ok. I know that my SC600 MKII L2 only works on 18650.

Seems safer than the SC62. I ran 2x123 in my SC62w for 5 minutes and everything was fine, but obviously not something they recommend.

No they won't work in either light due to the pogo pins used. Two cr123a would be too short to make contact with the pogo pins. I tried in both the 63w and MK3 HI and they're not long enough to make contact.

I am a little confused, cr123a = 34mm long, two cr123a = 68mm long, 18650 = 65mm long, so shouldn't it be too long?
