Always wanted something that is as simple as a clack.

What battery does it take? If proprietary, what is the mAh?

It uses 3200mAH customized 18650. (with a negative ring on the top, similar to the ones in some of the Olight and Fenix)

It can also use regular 18650s but you cannot charge it on the charging dock.

Looks like a great flashlight!

Two questions:

Is it safe to leave the flashlight in the dock long term, or will the battery become overcharged?

Other than being rechargable, how else does this compare to the P20 (particularly interested in any difference in the brightness ramp-down while on high)?

Thanks!

Yes it is safe to leave the light in the charging dock. The charging is stopped automatically once the battery is fully charged.
The R25 uses XP-L HI V3 LED and has significantly longer throw (25800 cd) than the P20 (11000 cd)
We need to check with the factory engineers about the brightness ramp-down.
