One twisty in my BOB would be good. Although I have decent clickie lights.....a twisty to my mind would be more reliable since there is no spring to break. Not that i think my Fenix or Olight springs would break......just a little extra insurance doesn't hurt.

Maybe a 4sevens mini MA?? or a Eagletac D25A??

Thanks.....Bill

Twisty lights often have springs. If you want a dead reliable twisty with no spring, the Peak El Capitan is a battery crusher. However it is about double your stated price and USA made.

Kreisl....thanks for that link.....seems self-built recommends L3 L10 twisty. I'm going to check it out.

Thetasigma, thanks for the info on twistys and springs.

The L3 L10 is also a good choice because it comes in a high CRI 219B and has a firefly mode that runs for 147 hours.

Maratac currently offers a "Tactical Personal Flood Light" which is a twistie task light. Their other AA twisties are out of stock.

Well, I decided to go old school.....Bought a Gerber infinity ultra task light! Twisty and one level of light. Can't get more simple than that. $16 is also a great feature!

I understand it has a memory mode :)

Amazon reviewers thought it to be as good or better than my CMG ultra, so we'll see how it holds up.

Thanks for all your suggestions

It is a shame there isn't a solid CPF review of that light. Though mine should be ready next week :)
