Are older Elzetta ZFLs upgradeable?

I'm wondering if they are worth picking up used and then upgrading (assuming that's possible).

Are you referring to the older units with the Malkoff M60? If so, the new AVS head should work fine with it and you could always buy a Malkoff M61 with lens kit and drop it in. My understanding is that The older bodies and tail caps are virtually identical to the new ones. They just took the Malkoff name off of them.

The older Elzetta hosts will, of course, fit newer Malkoff dropins ....

Turns out they went for more than I expected, so it didn't make sense to buy one and then drop more coin to upgrade it.
