I have a torch that was purchased around 2011, it stayed in the packaging until i recently unpacked it. I've been looking to swap the LED for a brighter, more powerful drop-in. I've identified it as a 2nd gen luxeon LED which happens to have a drastically different tie-down for the LED compared to other torches?
I've been unable to remove the LED, are gen 2 maglite LED's even replaceable? If not is there any you'd suggest.
