Help needed for custom build

I am new to these boards and to building flashlights but I have a project I am working on and could really use some help. I designed a new style of flashlight and want to build a prototype. Imagine a headlamp with a flat rectangle rechargeable battery, quality 300 lumen LED and circuit board and a switch that is located down the strap above the temple. This is not quite my design but gives you an idea for what I need, rechargeable battery, good LED and electronics and a switch on a wire. I know there are probably tons of ways to accomplish this but I am a total novice so I figured I would start by asking the pros!!

Do you have concept drawings? Ideas of how the driver user interface should respond? What type of battery are you thinking of utilizing?
