CPF made me money! (Well, sort of!)

Okay, I'll explain, because you are used to CPF costing you money (and it has done that to me, too!). So, I was going through my lights, and came upon some red LED flashers used for walking or biking at night. To my surprise (really?) the alkaleaks in them had leaked. So I remembered reading on CPF about getting leaking batteries compensated for/devices fixed or replaced, etc., so I did a little search and found the battery company's customer service number and instructions. So I phoned the number, told my story (yes, they asked me all the same questions mentioned in the thread) and they are sending me a check! Woot!

Good deal!.... now if everyone would hit up the alkaleak battery companies for their woes maybe the amount of losses would start to hit their bottom line hard enough they would work harder to make them leak LESS.

Nope, went totally evil and bought all Eneloops. Oh well, they got some primary D cell business, I ordered a 12 box of Procells, too.
