Okay, I'll explain, because you are used to CPF costing you money (and it has done that to me, too!). So, I was going through my lights, and came upon some red LED flashers used for walking or biking at night. To my surprise (really?) the alkaleaks in them had leaked. So I remembered reading on CPF about getting leaking batteries compensated for/devices fixed or replaced, etc., so I did a little search and found the battery company's customer service number and instructions. So I phoned the number, told my story (yes, they asked me all the same questions mentioned in the thread) and they are sending me a check! Woot!
