Not a recommendation, but wanted to mention still; The Klarus G20 looks interesting. It's a pretty new thing, and I haven't seen any reviews yet. Not sure if it's shipping yet, but might be worth a look before you decide.

Does anyone have a few single 26650 flashlights they would recommend?
What are you wanting from the light? There are lots on the market, but will depend if you are after flood, throw, both, long runtimes, high output, fancy UI, good tint, compact, etc etc.

I have the Fenix FD40 and PD40, Manker U21, and Covoy L6;I would recommend each depending on your use.

These two are great.

*Fenix PD40

*4Sevens MMU-X3
+1

Why 4Sevens stopped production of MMU-X3 in favor of one with built in charging and a proprietary battery is beyond my understanding. I had a brief written conversation with the owner which was NOT productive.

Luckily other manufacturers are still making 26650 single cell flashlights.

Convoy X3 is a nice well priced light.

It has a good size reflector, so has plenty of throw. It'll also run on AA's or an 18650.

Although personally I'd sway in a NW XP-L HI LED and a BLF X6 driver and run an IMR 26650. You'll get great throw, high output and good runtimes. Plus a 7 mode driver and a moonlight setting.

Acebeams EC60 looks like a nice pocket thrower in 1x26650 form factor. Definitely worth checking out if want a small pocket thrower.

Are there any high-CRI Nichia 219B triples or quads in a 1x26650 format?

With only one battery, I might prefer the longer runtimes offered by a triple over those of a quad.

I am finding the Manker U21 to be the most compact throw light I have found.

Unfortunately, there is no available 26650 light with a triple or quad Nichia 219B. The only way to go if you want this would be to get the TnC 26650 host and a triple Nichia P60 drop-in (like a Sportac).

Thanks for tip. There is no doubt that one of the Sportac triples is in my future. I like the work lights ven has that use them.

I'm thinking the like of Klarus G20, Olight R50, Acebeam EC50 Gen2 might be worth a look.
I'm waiting for the reviews on the G20 and EC50 Gen 2 since both have built-in USB chargers and can charge standard 26650 battery, unlike the Olight which can only charge the included custom battery

My 2 cents... I have been using the 4-Sevens Malestrom X3 ( Non usb rechargeable version) as an EDC light for the past 2 years and its never let me down. Simple High / Low UI with a twist for lock out. The forthcoming Klarus G-20 looks interesting.
