Deerelight XSearcher or XSearcher-4S 4S reliability issues?

Myself and a mate are thinking of buying a pair of these Deerelight XSearcher lamps.

Just been advised by a dealer that he has seen reliability problems with the 'magnetic switch' design of the new 4S

The words were "It has magnetic mode selection that is intermittant"


I see no mention of this 'magnetic switch' on the Deerelight website...just wondered if anyone has experience with this 'reliability ' issue.

Cant be more specific than that.

But before we spend cash jsut wondered if this was a real issue or a dealer trying to move old stock first....

Seems to also be known as a NightMaster XSearcher . The IC model is the one I guess the dealer was talking about with potential issues.
