I can get a Xtar D26 Whale Cree XML U3 1000Lm dive light for $30, great light that typically seems to sell for over $50 but it is a model getting rather old but still well made etc.

Its a dive light, 5 degree beam etc, would it work well as a MTB bike headlight, seems maybe a beam that's a little tight?

Also it can use 26650 or 18650 cells, which would they be referring to when listing the runtime specs below, I can't find that clarified anywhere:

Turbo: 1100 Lumens - 2 Hour Runtime (Underwater use only to prevent overheating)
High: 600 Lumens - 3.6 Hour Runtime
Mid: 200 Lumens - 11 Hour Runtime
Low: 60 Lumens - 48 Hour Runtime

I do not have experience with this particular Xtar model. I do have their BK 10 (bike) light. It works very well. I really like the quality and the value. Best.
